Donald Trump this week fired his ridiculous EPA Administrator, a man too stupid to even do corruption well, overturned Affirmative Action regulations for university admissions promote by his nemesis Barack Obama, hired former FOX News president Bill Shine (a man forced to resign due to numerous payouts for affairs by talent under his watch) as his Deputy Chief of Staff/Communications director. He is not Toby Ziegler by any stretch of the imagination. And Trump even made us long (briefly this weekend) for the oil and gas guy as Secretary of State. Current SoS Mike Pompeo screwed the North Korean nuclear pooch. See they both got played bigly by Little Rocket Man in North Korea. Pompeo said “the talks were productive.” Kim’s people had a different spin, saying they were regrettable. And that big, ‘for show summit in Singapore,’ where Kim got everything he wanted, and the US gave up nothing. That is not going to deliver Trump his coveted Nobel Peace Prize (that Obama got but he didn’t, yes… he is that petty).
Closer to home the knives were held firmly behind Cabinet Minister’s backs as cellphones were surrendered last Friday at Chequers as PM May reminded Ministers of their patriotic duty to reach an agreement and she exited with a deal for a soft Brexit that seemed to anger both Tory Remainers and Hard Brexiteers. So maybe there is something there worth looking closely at. Is it the Norway deal? Will the 27 EU nations sign off on it? Will we ever stop talking about Brexit on this podcast? Don’t count on it.
