This episode is in honour of the late rocker Tom Petty who passed away last week at the age of 66 and the truly insane ‘free falling’ nature of ‘the week that was’ in the Trump Presidency and May Government. Last week as we were on air we reported news of an ‘active shooter situation’ happening in Las Vegas. Little did we know then it would be the news of the week become the United States’ worst gun tragedy ever. 59 lay dead and more than 500 wounded. Later that week Donald Trump would make a spectacle of himself in Puerto Rico, where people continue to die, and then again in Las Vegas as the gun debate raged anew over guns with no resolution in sight. Seems it is too early and the NRA will do as they always do, wait in silence for it to drop from the headlines then put the hammer down on any member of Congress who dares step out of line and supports any gun legislation.
There is a coup brewing inside the Tories as PM May continues to struggle with a horrible conference speech and 30 back (and front) benchers saying it is time for her to go. Her Brexit performance continued to be shambolic and even Nicola sturgeon today warned of VERY DIRE consequences to the UK and Scottish economies if Brexit is allowed to go through with these clowns in control of it.
