(Apologies, our earlier post had a fault in the podcast.)
45 confounds the world with this quote to Reuters as we all slept: Said Trump: “There is a chance that we could end up having a major, major conflict with North Korea. Absolutely.” and… he never thought being President would be so difficult. Again he talked about the life he gave up to do this. And boy is Mike Flynn ever in massive trouble as the Pentagon announced their inquiry into his payments from foreign governments and Chemical Sean Spicer actually said, the White House did not do any further vetting of Kelly (but everyone is all tizzy because President Obama made a speech and got paid $400K for it?
French voters stood up and picked centrist Macron and Far right Le Pen for next the run-off in 9 days and most predict a landslide for Macron but everyone was on edge last weekend. In the media’s every increasing need for a horse race in a 26-point contest, millennials now hold the key? They don’t even show up to vote. NATO and the EU will not breathe easily until Monday morning 08 May.
The snap election is on (Yawn!) as Theresa May is conducting the equivalent of a 50-state strategy visiting an empty factory in Labour heartland and this whole election has generated seemingly zero enthusiasm with a noted absence of yard signs and nothing through the mail slot. Candidates are being slowly selected across the UK as whilst we like the short fuse for everyone’s sanity, the Party machinations of a SNAP are painfully slow. Purdah is purga-tory here.
