The world whipsawed back and forth at an exhausting pace by the new Administration’s 20 Executive orders unleashed in 10 days. The official term is outrage fatigue, as the pace has been murderous for one reason, to throw us off the scent of his bigger outrages by getting us riled up with a steady stream of little stuff. Last night, 45 hung up on the Australian PM, threatened to invade Mexico and Chief Propaganda Office Spicer threatened Iran. What could possibly go wrong? The new President also threw airports and nations around the globe in turmoil with his peripatetic whirling dervish ways.
45’s new BFF (or until she crosses him) PM Theresa May pushed her Brexit bill through Parliament to declare Article 50. Honestly both sides of the Pond are being run by RW despots who are intent on destroying everything humanity values by praying on the fears of the lowest common denominator, their so-called supporters. They use language and repetition to manipulate voters to hate their opposition without ever providing real answers or programmes. To borrow from 45… Sad!
