New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his wife reported a combined income of $698,838 for 2013, according to tax returns released by his office on Friday. This marks a significant increase from the $478,977 reported in 2012. The bulk of the income came from Mrs. Christie’s part-time work on Wall Street, where she earned $475,854 as a director at Angelo, Gordon & Co. and $34,698 from Cantor Fitzgerald. The governor himself reported $160,054 in taxable income from the state of New Jersey. The couple paid $193,510 in federal and state taxes. The 99 pages of federal and state tax documents were filed with the Internal Revenue Service following a six-month extension.
